  - Expands safe haven laws to protect children up to 1 year old (the only statute in the nation to comport with recommendations by CECANF)
Maryland
- Md. FAMILY LAW Code Ann. § 5-715.
  - With regard to each child born to a parent who has had his/her parental rights terminated, the law requires the local child welfare department to review its records and, when appropriate, provide an assessment of the family and offer services if needed.
